10 Tips to Increase Job Satisfaction

Only 13% of employees worldwide genuinely love their jobs, and it isn’t always clear how to improve their level of satisfaction. Often, the issue isn’t about financial compensation at all.

  4. Achieve Goals. Setting a goal and then achieving it builds self-confidence and fuels enthusiasm. To maintain momentum, you can keep progress reports on your goals or create charts to track your advancement.

Developing a good relationship with your manager means taking a strategic approach to the previous point, as achieving your goals directly depends on your rapport with them. It’s a plus if your manager conducts career dialogues with you; if not, ask for feedback and talk to them about results and the resources you need to meet your objectives.
  6. Become a Change Agent. You’ve analyzed the situation and identified a negative factor that is reducing your satisfaction. Discuss with your manager the possibility of transferring that task to another specialist; they might be open to it. In return, you could expand your responsibilities, which would be another advantage and provide you with new experience.
  7. Engage with HR. Suggest to the HR manager that they organize recreational activities for employees in the workplace. A good idea for team building could be creating an «interest club», such as a language learning group or film screenings with discussions in English.
